    Enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays with your family and friends! There will be hundreds of thousands of colorful lights, uniquely illuminated palm trees and flower gardens, and an inspiring nativity scene. There will also be special music performances each evening at 7 pm.

    December 11 – 31, Holiday Lights 2015

    All aboard Arizona’s most unique holiday event! Take a train ride through many festive holiday lights and displays that turn the Railroad Park into a winter wonderland. Opening night festivities will include a tree lighting ceremony, entertainment and a visit from Santa, who will be at the park through December 23.

    December 5, APS Electric Light Parade

    This year’s parade theme is “Trim the Trees for the Holidays.” The route is approximately two miles long. Entries will be staged at North Baptist Church and travel south on Central Ave. to Camelback Rd., then turn east and travel to 7th St., then turn south and continue down 7th St. until reaching Indian School Rd., which is where the route ends.

    December 5, Tumbleweed Tree Lighting & Parade of Lights

    Celebrate a unique southwestern tradition that draws visitors from far and wide during the holidays. This community festival includes the beautiful Parade of Lights and marks the 59th Tumbleweed Tree built in Downtown Chandler.

    December 5 – 6, Asian Treasures Festival

    This event features ethnic cuisine, arts and crafts, entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, cultural dances and music from nearly a dozen Asian countries! There will also be a tea garden, Japanese Taiko drums and a fashion show with traditional Asian costumes.

    December 10 – 31, Las Noches de las Luminarias

    Experience the valley’s best and most celebrated southwest holiday tradition as the magic of thousands of hand-lit luminaria bags light the pathways of the garden. Enjoy the sounds of talented musicians throughout the garden trails, and make plans to dine with family and friends. This event will be closed on December 14 – 15 and 24 – 25.

    A day of interactive activities, demonstrations, exhibitions and animals galore!     December 12, 12K’s of Christmas® & Santa’s Pet Village

    This event hosts the largest December pet adoption event of the season in the east valley.  Meet new furry friends, shop in the Christmas Bazaar and enjoy Christmas Caroling on the San Tan Ford Reindeer Stage at this free event. Take the little ones to meet Santa and play in the bounce house. For the fitness minded, run or walk in the 12k, 6k or 1.2k event with carolers at every “k”. Strollers and leashed pets welcome.

    Phoenix Feline Fanciers annually hosts Arizona’s largest CFA all breed cat show in December. This show is extremely popular with professional exhibitors, vendors and cat-loving spectators in the greater Phoenix area and beyond Arizona’s borders. The show is held annually and is fun for the entire family!

    December 13, Runner’s Den/Fiesta Bowl Half Marathon & 5K
