Scottsdale Promenade could get new look, expansion

promenadeThe Scottsdale Promenade could be getting a revamped look.

Property owners Excel Trust have filed a proposed redevelopment project for the center on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to the city’s Development Review Board, according to The Arizona Republic.

Excel Trust, which bought the 566,000-square-foot shopping center in 2011, has plans to expand with the addition of three new buildings and a public courtyard with shade canopies, a fireplace and outdoor dining.

The Promenade is home to the Valley’s first In-N-Out Burger and the 125-foot blue spire designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
